The Doors. Discography Version 2 Revision 0 The following is a complete (to my knowledge) discography of The Doors through the 1991 release of the movie soundtrack album. The band's line-up is as follows: Jim Morrison (JM)- vocals Robby Krieger (RK)- guitar Ray Manzarek (RM)- keyboards John Densmore (JD)- drums All albums are produced by Paul A. Rothchild, except where noted. All songs are credited as being written by The Doors, except where noted. Some songs were credited to The Doors on some albums; these same songs were credited to the individual writers on other albums. Songwriting credits are given as they appear on that particular release. Additional instruments and musicians are noted with each album. All releases are on Elektra records (except where noted), with the catalog number following the title and peak (Billboard) chart position given in (). Singles releases are grouped together after the LP releases. My comments are given in brackets []. Any additions, corrections are more than welcome! ============================================================================== Jan 67- LP release [also released in mono] ------------------ THE DOORS- 74007 (2; 128 in 1980) 1. Woman Mar 91- single release??? ---------------------- Elektra announced "Break On Through" to be issued as a single from the album- I have not seen this to date, nor do I have an issue number for it.... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ray Manzarek has also issued several solo albums in the mid-70's; Robbie Krieger and John Densmore went on to join the Butts Band in the 70's; Krieger has also issued some solo albums in the 80's. (Don't have any of their non-Doors work- heard most of it was pretty bad). Manzarek also went on to produce X's first few (two ?) albums. I am still missing two b-sides; I am also missing the track list for _Star Collection 2_. If anyone can add any other promotional items, please pass them along. I would also like to catalogue all Doors tracks on various artists/movie soundtracks; if you have any information on these, please pass them along. Coming in May is a live compilation release incoporating all or parts of _Absolutely Live!_, _Alive, She Cried_, _Live At The Hollywood Bowl_ and the live "Roadhouse Blues". The long rumored box set has been shelved indefinitely. Thanx to Greg Murphy and Ludde Borgne for additions and corrections!
